Why goodberries?

We initiated goodberries because we are convinced that there are many opportunities for making companies more sustainable, but that it is now or never. We facilitate companies to identify, multiply and accelerate “goodberries” – sustainable opportunities – in their own context. Not with thick reports, but with strategic vision and authentic power to act. When we are ready, the organization moves on. That is sustainable.

Goodberries & UN Global Compact

Goodberries is since 2024 a participant of the United Nations Global Compact, as part of our commitment to sustainable and responsible business practices. This means that we have committed ourselves to the Ten Principles on human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption. From 2025 onwards, we will report our progress on these topics here.

Goodberries & Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

Goodberries has extensive experience in the food & beverage, sustainable real estate, energy transition, investors and (financial) services sectors. We have translated this into the SDGs of the United Nations to which we make the greatest contribution.

From 2023 onwards, we will periodically report how we as goodberries and together with our customers have made an impact on the 6 SDGs below.

Alain Cracau

'sustainable go-getter, pragmatic with a passion for data'

Ivo Hanssen

I make complex matter tangible. By sometimes starting small, you can make a start with sustainability and build from there. I like to work from the positive and bring pragmatism to a sustainability environment full of terms and abbreviations (ESG, SDG, CSRD, SBTi, etc.). I hope to make a difference by making smart use of data to shape your sustainability strategy as a company, to use it proactively in your services to customers and to immediately comply with reporting obligations. In addition, I like to focus on development processes around sustainability, IT and finance.

I set-up an analysis tool to visualize the sustainability performance of 25,000+ customers, including quality marks, external data sources, AI applications and benchmarking.
Provided a link between loan conditions and sustainability performance, so that thousands of customers see sustainability as an indicator in their loan or credit application.
Annual reports on ESG and sustainability, including EU Taxonomy and SDG reports and preparations for the CSRD obligation.

Val Mostermans

I approach sustainability in a holistic manner. My background in environmental sciences and international development studies taught me to aim for beneficial results for both nature and people in the pursue of sustainable transitions. It energizes me to help companies to create a synergy between their environmental, social and governance goals and in that way contribute to a better world. With a focus on both the company’s own activities and its entire value chain, to maximize the positive impact.

MSc Sustainable Development with a specialization in International Development Studies and consultancy projects for among others Oxfam Novib.
Research internship & thesis at Rainforest Alliance on the potential implications of the upcoming EU Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive. With this research I advised Rainforest Alliance on opportunities for its certification program and advocacy strategy.
Internship at Rabobank during which I helped creating opportunity cards for businesses in various sectors to adopt a circular business model. These are now being used during circularity workshops organized by Rabobank.
